Contrary to a certain blockbuster novel-turned-movie coming out this weekend, people's sexual fantasies are actually far tamer than you would imagine, or so says a recently published study in Canadian Journal of Sexual Medicine. Granted, their study was self-reported as opposed to being peer-reviewed , but their study found that the most common fantasy for both men and women is: having romantic feelings for a person while engaging in sexual activity with them. I mean, that literally sounds like the least-exciting sexual fantasy a person could imagine.
Part of the reason for this is that most people still feel a certain amount of shame when it comes to expressing their sexual desires.
